# Terms of service

- Source: https://www.bluedrop.in/terms
- Version: 1.0, in force from 1 October 2026 (2026-10-01)
- Published by: bluedrop.in, run by UTKAL SERVICES

> The rules for using bluedrop.in: your account, the yearly care plan, visits, payments, what is and is not covered, and how we settle problems.

You pay for a yearly care plan for your water purifier. We send a verified BlueDrop Expert to look after it. You tell us the truth about the machine, let the Expert in, and pay. We do the work with proper care and tell you plainly what the plan covers.

If something goes wrong, we fix it or refund you. Your rights under Indian consumer law are not reduced by anything below.

## 1. The agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and UTKAL SERVICES (Third Floor, Shop No - 302(B), Hetel Pal Heights, Shopping Arcade, Plot No - J/7, Nandan Kanan Road, Jayadev Vihar, Bhubaneswar, Khordha, Odisha 751013), which runs bluedrop.in (“we”). You accept them when you create an account, buy a plan or book a visit. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

You must be 18 or older and live in, or own a purifier in, a place we serve. Our Privacy policy and Refund and cancellation policy are part of these terms.

## 2. Your account

- You sign in with a Google account (or with Apple, where offered). Give us true details and keep them up to date, including your phone number and address.
- One account is for one person. Do not share your sign-in or let others use it.
- Tell us at once if you think someone else has got into your account.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account, unless it was caused by our failure to protect it.
- You agree that we may message you about your visits, payments and account by WhatsApp, push notification and email, as you set in your notification settings. You can turn each channel off; messages that keep your account safe, such as a one-time code, are part of the service.

## 3. What we provide

bluedrop.in sells care, not machines. A yearly care plan can include scheduled service visits, filter changes, on-site repairs and water-quality readings for a purifier of any brand, and we keep a record of each visit. Visits are done by BlueDrop Experts whose documents we have checked, and each visit is confirmed with a one-time code that only you can give.

The exact plan you buy (how many visits, which parts and filters are included, any limits and the price) is shown in the app before you pay, and what is shown at that moment is part of your agreement. We serve the areas listed on our website; more places are added over time.

## 4. The website and the iPhone and Android apps

- We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the bluedrop.in website and apps for your own purifier care, while your account is open. You may not copy, reverse engineer or resell them.
- The apps work on the phone and system versions we list in the App Store and Google Play. We may update them, and may need you to update to keep using them safely.
- If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, these terms are between you and us, not Apple or Google. Apple and Google have no duty to support the app or to answer claims about it, and the store’s own usage rules also apply to you. Apple and Google can enforce these terms against you as a third-party beneficiary where their rules require it.
- The apps ask your phone for permissions such as camera, photos and location only for the uses in the Privacy policy. You can refuse them.

## 5. Registering your purifier

- Register each machine with its serial number, details of its installation and a copy of the purchase invoice.
- Your Expert verifies the machine and invoice at the first visit. If they do not match, we may ask you to correct them, or decline to cover that machine and refund what you paid for it.
- To sell or give a machine to someone else, ask us to transfer it: write to support@bluedrop.in before you hand it over. A BlueDrop Expert or our team starts the transfer, you and the new owner each confirm it with a one-time code, and our team completes it, so the machine’s record stays trustworthy.
- Do not register a machine that is not yours, and do not upload a false or edited invoice.

## 6. Booking and visits

- Book or change a visit in the app. We confirm a time slot and the Expert’s name before they arrive.
- Please make sure someone is at the address, the machine and its water and power supply are reachable, and the place is safe to work in.
- Give the one-time code only when the visit is finished to your satisfaction. Never give it earlier, and never to anyone but your Expert.
- If we cannot make a slot, we will tell you and offer another. If you are not there, the visit may count as used.
- Treat our Experts with courtesy. We may stop a visit that is unsafe or abusive.

## 7. Prices, payment and credits

- Prices are in Indian rupees and shown, with taxes, before you pay. We do not charge anything you have not seen.
- You pay online through Razorpay (UPI, cards, net banking and wallets). We never see or keep your card, UPI or bank details.
- A care plan is a service done in person at your home, so it is paid to us through Razorpay and not through the Apple App Store or Google Play billing. Apple and Google do not charge for it and cannot refund it. We do.
- Some plans and offers give you credits for particular services. Each credit type and its expiry date is shown in your wallet. Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and lapse on their expiry date, except as the refund policy says.
- We send a receipt for every payment. Ask support@bluedrop.in if you need a GST invoice.

## 8. What a plan does not cover

Unless your plan says otherwise, it does not cover:

- damage caused by misuse, accidents, flood or fire, tampering or repair by anyone we did not send;
- parts or consumables the plan does not include, which we quote and you approve before we fit them;
- a machine that cannot be safely or economically repaired. We will say so, and advise you;
- events beyond our reasonable control, such as a strike, a natural disaster or a shut-down of the water supply.

bluedrop.in is an independent service provider. Brand names belong to their owners, and we are not an authorised service centre of any brand unless we say so. Servicing by someone other than the maker can affect a manufacturer’s warranty, so please check yours.

## 9. Water readings are guidance

Readings such as TDS and pH are taken with field instruments and show how your machine is doing. They are not a laboratory test, a certificate of safety, or medical advice, and we make no health claim about any kind of water.

## 10. Referral rewards

You can share your referral code or link. When someone you refer pays for their first plan, you may earn a reward under the rules shown in the app at that time. Referring yourself, creating false accounts or any other abuse voids rewards. We may change or end a reward scheme for future referrals, and we will not take back a reward already paid for a genuine referral.

## 11. If you are a BlueDrop partner

BlueDrop Experts, Zone Managers and Promoters work with us under a separate partner agreement, and under these terms where they use the app. A partner joins only after we verify their identity and approve them, and can take jobs only after approval. Partner pay, tax deduction and documents are covered in that agreement and in the Privacy policy.

## 12. Using the service properly

Please do not:

- give false information, impersonate anyone or use another person’s account;
- try to get into data or areas that are not yours, or interfere with the service or its security;
- copy, scrape or resell our content or data.

If an account breaks these terms or puts others at risk we may warn, limit, suspend or close it, and we will tell you why unless the law stops us. You can close your account at any time, see Delete your account.

## 13. Our responsibility

We will do the work with reasonable care and skill, and use parts that are fit for purpose. If we fall short, we will put it right or refund you as the refund policy says.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for a claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, or your rights as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

## 14. Problems and disputes

Tell us first. Write to support@bluedrop.in or use “Complaints” in the app. If we have not settled it, write to our Grievance Officer at hello@bluedrop.in. We acknowledge within 48 hours and resolve within 30 days.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Bhubaneswar, Odisha have jurisdiction, but you may also approach the consumer commission that has jurisdiction where you live or work.

## 15. Changes

We may update these terms. We will change the date above and, for a material change, tell you in the app or by email before it applies to you. If you keep using the service after that, you accept the new terms; if you do not, you may close your account and ask for a refund for the unused part of your plan.
